BECK Digital President and Managing Partner Ryan Beck partnered with the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of the Midlands, for a Lunch & Learn business and networking event at the United Way of the Midlands in Columbia, SC.

A computer developer at heart, Beck also studied kinesics as a former Army Interrogator and linguist. From sales calls, to boardrooms and interviews, he now applies his experience in as a business owner, and recently shared helpful tips with professionals.

“I thrive on sharing my unique personal experiences with other professionals and providing different ways to analyze business interactions” says Ryan Beck, whose professional background boasts service in the United States Army, Military and Diplomatic Language School, which included receiving an Army Commendation Medal for his service. “Subtleties of eye and facial movements, body positioning and gestures reveal so much about an individual’s mentality. Sharing these unspoken and fascinating cues is personally rewarding – and fun for the audience.”

After working in a variety of web programming capacities, Beck founded his first company in 2003 (Mediasation) and shortly thereafter, served as the president of Fuel Digital Marketing & Branding. Ryan founded BECK Digital to focus specifically on digital development and marketing for regional causes making a positive impact on the community.

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) of the Midlands is a chapter of the American Advertising Federation, headquartered in Washington, DC. They are also a chapter of the Third District of the AAF, which represents South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. The objectives of the AAF are to provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising and marketing and their value; to apply the skills, creativity and energy of the advertising and marketing industry whenever it is needed to help solve social problems; to advance the standards of advertising and marketing through a voluntary program of self-regulation, and to promote good fellowship and a free exchange of ideas.
